Dashas (introduction)

Dashas are planetary period systems—life chapters ruled by a graha's themes. See dasha-systems for Vimshottari, Yogini, Ashtottari, and other schemes.

Vimshottari (120 years) is most common: sequence from birth Moon nakshatras, with maha, antar, pratyantar sub-periods. Running lord activates promises in bhavas it owns or occupies.
