Yogas (brief introduction)

Yogas are planetary combinations lifting or challenging fortune—named patterns in texts like Brihat Parashara (e.g., Gaja Kesari, Pancha Mahapurusha, Dhana yogas).

Common families:

• Benefic clusters — Jupiter/Venus/Mercury strong in kendras/trikonas (benefic-malefic)
• Raja yogas — lords of kendra and trikona together
• Dhana yogas — wealth lords linked to bhava-2 / bhava-11
• Arishta yogas — afflictions to lagna lord, Moon, or 8th/6th lords

Judge yogas by graha strength (shadbala), not slogans alone. Divisional confirmation in vargas-overview (especially D9, D10).
