Progressions and solar arc (pointer)

Progressions symbolically advance the natal chart for inner timing. Two common Western methods:

Secondary progressions

One day after birth ≈ one year of life. Progressed positions (especially the Moon) mark phases of emotional development and focus shifts. Progressed aspects to natal planets highlight seasons of integration.

Solar arc directions

Every factor moves forward at roughly the solar arc per year (≈1°). Solar-arc hits to natal angles (ascendant, midheaven) often coincide with visible life chapters.

This bundle does not compute progressions; core.chart supplies natal longitudes (natal-chart). Use an ephemeris or dedicated timing tool for exact dates. Relationship timing may also use synastry transits and composites in other traditions.
